Golf at Kelab Golf Negara Subang is sport, drama and picnic all rolled into one. The golf club is just 10 minutes from Subang International Airport was officially opened on 1 September 1968, with Malaysia’s first Prime Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman as the first club president. The two 18-hole courses have much to offer, with a variety of challenges to test your golfing skills severely.

The main course was designed by a Japanese architect while the fairways, greens and tee boxes were turfed by Yorkshire-born Tom Verity.

Its new course (The Sultan and Tun’s Nine) was redesigned in 1986 by the California-based firm of Bradford, Benz and Poellect on 120 acres of land, featuring a tight but challenging golf course.

Subang’s biggest success was the staging of the Benson & Hedges Malaysian Open (in 1983 and in 1987), which is part of the Asia Circuit (professional golf) Tournament.

It is always a pleasure to play on the well manicured fairways and greens of Kelab Golf Negara Subang. Although it is a membership club, guests and visitors may play on the course. The Kelab Golf Negara Subang will also be made available to tourists throughout the week. Travel agencies registered with the Tourist Development Corporation Malaysia, airlines and reputable hotels will make reservations on their behalf.

Facilities at Kelab Golf Negara Subang are virtually second to none, with tennis and squash courts, swimming pools, billiards and a jackpot-room, a sauna, a bar, restaurants, a lounge, a multi-purpose hall, a video library, pro-shop, a two-way driving range and putting greens.
