Vegas Golf Hot Spots

Certainly when thinking of Las Vegas, casinos come to mind. However, many people come here exclusively as a golf destination. So, you might ask yourself, what are the best golf vacations in Las Vegas? Donat despair, there are so many choices available to provide your ideal Sin City golf outing.

Casinos require money, golfing requires money. If you plan on spending under $100/person check out the Las Vegas Golf Club. Don’t think that a small fee means a shabby course. Golf Digest’s \”Best Places to Play\” for 2008-09 included this place! The club prides themselves on service and recently undertook a $5 million renovation to their property; including course refurbishments and a shiny new clubhouse. This beautiful, challenging course awaits you.

Maybe you had a lucky day at the casinos and want to splurge a little, spending $100-$175/person. The Revere at Anthem – Lexington is a grand course that boasts a 7,143 yard layout. Low handicaps will find themselves at home here.

When you are willing to spend $175-275/person you have a lot of options. Many quality establishments fall well within your price range, though the Rio Secco Golf Club finds its way to the top of the list. Golf Digest named this course one of \”America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses\”; not to mention the Las Vegas PGA voted it the #1 public access course, by membership poll.

Its official, you a high roller. After showing off your gambling skills you head over to the Bali Hai Golf Course. This convenient championship course is the only one located right on the ever famous Las Vegas Strip. It is beautifully decorated with palm trees and 100,000 tropical plants and flowers. Golfer’s Digest hasn’t rated this course but Golf Week mentions it \”America’s Top 40 Resort Courses\” and VegasGolfer deems it as the \”Best High-end Resort course in Las Vegas\”.

Maybe you came for the desert to try something new, something not done before. Why not a desert course? The Painted Desert Golf Club is the first desert course in Las Vegas. See the harsh desert contrast with the vivid green vegetation. You will find the tee boxes and fairways are kept separate by native desert plants; such as cactus and mesquite. The course also features some quite a few lakes and, obviously, sand bunkers.

If there was ever a best of show golf course in Las Vegas, TPC is it! TPC Las Vegas has been called adesert elegance\”. This was designed by Bobby Weed and Raymond Floyd, while playing you are surrounded by mountains, canyons, and the gorgeous Las Vegas skyline makes this arguably the most stunning course in Sin City.

Las Vegas holds many choices for its golfers. You can prefer aesthetics, playability, privacy, or price and still find a great selection of courses. So when you go to Vegas, are you going to hit the casinos or perhaps one of the breath-taking golf courses?
