Cameron Highlands Golf Club

Cameron Highlands is one of Malaysia’s major holiday destinations, boasting two first-class hotels, the Merlin and the Ye Olde Smokehouse. It is located 60 km off the main Kuala Lumpur /Ipoh road, at an altitute of 1500 to 1800 metres. Known as the ‘Garden’ of Malaysia, Cameron Highland has established a good reputation for quality tea.

Also not to be missed is the Highlands’ famous 18- holes public golf course with a cozy pavilion, equipped with a bar and restaurant. Cameron Highlands Golf Club is now run by the town councill. The golf course is usually very busy during the school holidays, but during off-seasons it is mainly patronised by local residents.

The par-71 layout offers a host of challenges from its undulating fairways, thick rough, meandering rivers that cut across at strategic locations to fine sand bunkers and tricky greens. In short, it is a fine golf course in a cool, refreshing atmosphere at 5,000 feet above sea-level.

Other sports facilities, such as tennis and badminton courts are available while for swimming, there is a jungle pool below the Parit Falls.
